SOLAR PANELS

Image
A solar Panel is a device that draws power from the sun and converts that current flow to electricity. They are used to absorb the sun's rays and convert them into electricity or heat. These cells are arranged in a grid-like pattern on the surface of solar panels. Simply put, a solar panel works by allowing photons, or particles of light, to knock electrons free from atoms, generating a flow of electricity. Solar panels actually comprise many, smaller units called photovoltaic cells. (Photovoltaic simply means they convert sunlight into  electricity.) A solar inverter system is not complete without a solar panel, therefore arises the questions, what type of solar panels should I use and how many do I need to carry my loads. In Pontus Technology Limited, we design and develop solutions to suit your needs.  There are three types of Solar Panels namely ; Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline (also known as multi-crystalline), and Thin-film. Monocrystalline panel is the best type of panel

CCTV DVR/ NVR

Image
Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is an electronic device that stores security camera Footages. A DVR receives raw data from the camera and processes the data to viewing stage with the use of a hard drive instead of video tapes.  The DVR records, saves and play back Television programs. This system works mainly with the Analog CCTV camera. It rely on the AD encoder, which is responsible for processing the raw data streaming, from the camera into legible video. The Network Video Recorder is an electronic device that functions with the CCTV camera, it also performs the function of storing camera  footages. The NVR recieved processed footages from the camera. It functions mainly with the IP CCTV camera  A DVR system cannot work when disconnected from power/electricity, therefore more reason you need a stable light for constant and maximum security, Pontus Technology Limited solar inverter is the right choice. Remember Electricity is key in keeping your CCTV cameras system working.  The importa

Solar Inverter

A solar inverter is one of the most important elements of the solar electric power system. It converts the variable direct current (DC) output of a photovoltaic (PV) solar panel into alternating current (AC). HISTORY OF SOLAR INVERTER   In 1939, Alexandre Edmond Becquered discovered the photovoltaic effects which explains how electricity can be generated from sunlight.  The solar panels were first used in the United States in the year 1954, when Datyl Chapin, Calvin Fuller, and Gerald Pearson developed the silicon photovoltaic (PV) cell capable of converting enough of the sun's energy into power to run everyday electrical equipments. Residential solar was discovered in the year 2000 when scientists at sandia laboratories in Albuquerque,  New Mexico,  invented the modern Inverter when sunlight hits solar panels with particles called photons,  the modules convert them into electrons of DC current. BENEFITS OF SOLAR INVERTER   They have a long life span  They are Reliable  They hel

LIGHT BULB

Image
Light bulb is an electric light, in which a filament gives off light when heated to incandesence (emitting lights as a result of being heated) by an electric current. In 1802, Humphry Davy invented the first electric light. He experimented with electricity and invented an electric battery.  In 1850 an English physicist named Joseph Wilson Swan created a “light bulb” by enclosing carbonized paper filaments in an evacuated glass bulb. How to Buy the Right Light Bulb Check your bulb base size and bulb shape. Determine much light you need. Select the right color of white for your light bulb. Find out if you need to dim your light.  Find out if your light bulb will be used in an enclosed fixture or recessed can. Choose the right type of light bulb. There are three basic kinds of light bulbs on the market: incandescent, halogen, and CFL (compact fluorescent light) Halogen bulbs are a type of incandescent that gives a close approximation of natural daylight, known as "white light."
