 A solar Panel is a device that draws power from the sun and converts that current flow to electricity.

Polycrystalline Panels  is a type of panel that requires sunlight to be able to pick up current.  It doesn't work in a cloudy weather. The surface of the panel is straight or one way. It is very affordable and that's why most people go for it.

Thin-film panel is a type of panel that is light in weight

It is important to note that no matter the type of panel you use, it doesn't work at night because there is total absence of sunlight.
